The “PLANTING” Project aspires to educate younger populations about the importance of native species in their local environment/community
Target Audience
The “PLANTING” Project app is intended for children to use with parental supervision/engagement, however anyone can use The “PLANTING” Project app to learn more about native species in their area.
The “PLANTING” Project also sells resources to teachers, libraries, and parents, for a more engaging experience.
How Does The “PLANTING” Project Make Money?
You may notice an absence of advertisements and subscriptions. That’s because we are dedicated to the ideal that education should be free and accessible to all learners who wish to learn.
“PLANT” is a non-profit, but we still need to pay our “Gardeners”. That’s what we call our employees, who moderate photos that go in the Community Garden and create “Walks” to explore your community in a more structured way.
To keep the lights on we sell additional resources specifically designed for teachers, libraries, and parents. We also sell Community Garden information to researchers at your local universities.
